Cartier Launches Rotonde De Cartier Hollow Double Mysterious Tourbillon Platinum Limited Watch

Two months before the opening of the Geneva International Haute Horlogerie Salon (SIHH) in 2018, Cartier is the first to launch the new Rotonde de Cartier hollow double mysterious tourbillon platinum limited watch. The floating tourbillon that rotates once every 60 seconds seems to be suspended in the air, seemingly without any connection to the rest of the movement-this is a wonderful visual illusion created by Cartier. And the sapphire crystal wafer disc rotates once every 5 minutes. With the carefully structured case and meticulous craftsmanship, it becomes more difficult to achieve a balanced balance.

The case is made of platinum and has a diameter of 45 mm. All parts are hand-finished, including the bevel of the movement bridge and the polishing of the screw head. The movement bridge plate is hollowed out to serve as a Roman numeral time scale, which enhances the lightness and strength of the entire watch. The hollow transparency contains the mysterious magic. The geometric structure of the hollow bridge complements the appearance of the mysterious movement and the entire watch.

It is equipped with Cartier’s homemade 9465 MC manual-winding movement. This movement is assembled from 286 parts. The number of gems is 26. It can provide a power reserve of up to 52 hours when full. Comes with a dark blue alligator strap with 18K platinum folding clasp. Cartier’s new Rotonde de Cartier skeleton double mysterious tourbillon platinum watch is limited to 30 pieces, and it is also available in a bezel set with baguette-cut diamonds. It is reported that the non-diamond model is priced at 216,000 US dollars and the diamond model is priced at 530,000 US dollars.
