In addition to the Formula 1 Grand Prix in Monaco in 2019, the 50th anniversary of the launch of the TAG HEUER classic Monaco watch in Monaco has also attracted much attention. In commemoration of the milestones in the history of the brand, Tag Heuer announced that it will successively unveil five new Monaco limited edition collection watches in 2019. Each watch pays tribute to this masterpiece inspired by the style of different eras from 1969 to 2019.

Monaco watches have been closely related to the Monaco Grand Prix since its inception. TAG Heuer has been the official timepiece of the Grand Prix since 2011. The Monaco series name is derived from the 1969 Monaco Grand Prix Formula 1 season. So there is no better place to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Monaco watches than Monaco. During the three-day special event, guests were invited to participate in a series of exciting activities, including a visit to the Monaco Antique Car Museum, which also arranged to watch a retrospective of the Monaco watch, and listen to the Grand Prix platoon with F1 Red Bull team leader Christian Horner Report of the race.
The design of the Monaco watch is bold and unique, with a high degree of recognition. In every design detail, it is an epoch-making, creative and technical innovation, creating a new field.
To celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Monaco, the first of its kind is the Monaco 1969-1979 Limited Collector’s Edition watch, which features the iconic geometric shapes and colors of the 1970s, combined with the time-honored Geneva stripe pattern, and exquisite details are distinctive .

The stainless steel model is paired with a brown leather strap with light brown lining on the strap holes, brown and yellow elements on the green dial, Geneva stripes, and hands coated with SuperLuminova®. The small dial and crown position make it clear at a glance that this watch is out of the traditional Monaco series. The watch is equipped with the famous Calibre 11 movement, which can be said to be a modern interpretation of the automatic chronograph movement of the original Monaco watch debuted in 1969.
